For lehengas, a simple gold or embellished belt tied around your lehenga can add oomph, and also help hold your dupatta in place. When it comes to belts based on body type, thick waist belts are great for women with longer torsos, as they help shorten their upper body and make them look more proportional. Short-waisted women, on the other hand, look better in thin belts, as they don’t cover the midsection.
