While many may prefer to use different cosmetic products to battle winter woes, experts suggest to check their ingredients. Ensuring that it contains sun protection formula (SPF), shea butter,
cocoa butter, petroleum jelly and is organic. There are a variety of simple DIY scrubs and lip balms that can help you get pink and soft lips.
DIY LIP SCRUB
Gently exfoliate your lips once a week using a homemade scrub. You can crushed rose petals mixed with drops of honey and coffee or granulated sugar to prepare the scrub paste. Use this scrub and apply a thin layer of coconut oil after it to get soft and supple lips. Gently massaging your lips with a mixture of saffron, honey and sugar granules once a week, will keep them soft.
DIY LIP BALM
Homemade lip balms are a great way to nourish your lips. Melt a few pellets of beeswax and mix it with shea butter and almond oil. This threeingredient balm can be stored in a refrigerator and used for days. To give a light pink tint to lips, add beetroot juice to petroleum jelly and mix it with a few drops of almond oil. Your lips will feel soft and luscious.
