While her new single is all about being in love, actor Sonakshi Sinha says that she is still to experience the feeling. The actor says that while her busy schedule makes it tough for her to be in a relationship, she hopes to meet that someone special soon. “Love makes the world go round, I believe in that. I can’t speak for everyone but yes most of us do lead very hectic lives that leave little scope for anything else! Those who find love are lucky in my opinion! I hope I become Ishqholic soon and am not just left singing about it!” says Sonakshi, who recently released her debut single. She has received rave reviews for her single, Sonakshi says she doesn’t want to get into playback singing. “I don’t want to be a playback singer. I’ve realised there is a particular kind of song that I like to sing and what my voice suits best, so I would love to do that. This was a project of my passion and henceforth too I want to sing for the love of it, to enjoy the process and come up with entertaining songs and not just for the sake of being a singer,” she says.

The actor says she was very nervous and made her mother Poonam Sinha, listen to her song. “My mother is my biggest critic. She’s not afraid to say it like it is, her opinion matters to me the most. She heard it really intently and when it was over she patted my back and said, ‘Good job!’ It was the biggest relief for me,” she says.

Sonakshi says rapper Badshah had the best compliment for her. “Badshah gave me the best compliment saying this doesn’t sound like my first single, and that the song is a chartbuster. Coming from someone who excelled in this genre, that’s got to feel good! My friends and colleagues have loved it too. It’s really heartening,” she says.
