Rajkummar Rao picks up accents quickly

-

Nowadays, actors not only do research to prepare for their characters, they also learn new skills to do justice to their roles. Raj Kummar Rao (right) is one such name. We’re told that the National Award winner has a knack for learning different languages and accents. A source close to the actor reveals: “He learnt several accents and languages in the past too. He had a Gujarati accent in Kai Po Che (2013), a Rajasthani one in City Lights (2014), Haryanvi in Dolly Ki Doli (2015), and a Marathi in Shaitan (2011).”

For his next film, the actor will sport a Malayalam accent. “I play a Malayali boy living in Delhi. I have lots of friends from Kerala in Delhi and Mumbai, so I took their help to get as close to the accent as possible,” says Rao.
