Delhi gets sporty
It was a field day for football enthusiasts in the city, as fans and supporters of the popular European football club Manchester United gathered in huge numbers at the sports bar Yes Minister, Essex Farms to watch the match between Liverpool and Manchester United.
Fans were seen cheering for the team as they watched all the action on huge screens installed at the pub. “The spirit and the aggression of the fans at Yes Minister was unbelievable. It reminded me of watching Manchester United playing live in the stadium — fans chanting the name of the club from the pre-match build-up to post-match celebration,” shares Kanav Goyle of Yes Minister who witnessed the gathering and was a part of it.
Following the success of this get-together, Yes Minister is gearing up for major sporting events for Delhites in the coming months where they can chill with friends while enjoying the matches in full spirit. Kanav adds, “We are trying to bring the pub culture in Delhi alive with attractions such as bowling, mechanical bull and beerpong. The pub’s ambience, great food and drinks will give Delhites a reason to say Yes to Yes Minister.”
