If you’re game for a theatrical satire high on wit, then this production in the weekend might catch your fancy. The Modern School Old Student Association (MSOSA) is all set to perform a Hinglish play, Chor Machaye Shor, which will be staged under the leadership of their president Ashwajit Singh.

The production is based on the play, Thieves Carnival, by French playwright Jean Anouilh and is adapted in Hindi by V K Sharma and directed by Chittaranjan Tripathy.

Dr Vivek Rajpal, senior member of the executive committee of MSOSA, says, “The alumni from batches as early as 1958 to recent passouts are actively participating in this play.”

The cast features professionals like architects, lawyers, doctors and businessmen, from the school’s alumni. “It is our endeavor to cast as many Modernites as possible and encourage them to fulfill their passion for acting,” says Daksha Jaidka, convener for the play. “I am thrilled to share the stage with my son Kunal, who is a current student at the school,” says Sanjiv Saluja, an actor in the production.
