THIS WAS ONE EUPHORIC JAM!
The launch of HT Friday Jam’s third season was every bit as exciting as music enthusiasts could’ve hoped
Echoes of encore marked the electrifying opening night of season 3 of Honda presents Hindustan Times Cyber Hub Friday Jam, powered by G-Shock in association with KR Mangalam University with pop band Euphoria. Friday Jam, a free-for-all event and the best live musical platform for bands to showcase their talent, will see four bands battle it out for 12 consecutive weeks every Friday.
Last Friday, it was Palash Sen’s band Euphoria that set the mood with their music. “Saanson mein jo, meri khwabon mei jo, woh ho tum, Gurgaon,” the singer said to the packed crowd of fans. Over the next three hours, the band belted out one hit track after another, some of which included Maaeri, Aana Meri Gully, Dhoom, Bhoola Sab, among others.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ashu Phakey, vice president, HT, said, “We said we’d be back with season 3 and Hindustan Times Friday Jam is back. We’re going to be at Cyber Hub for 12 weeks every Friday. The opening night with the amazing audience and Euphoria could not have been better.”
Palash, who was overwhelmed by the audience’s response, said, “Even after 17 years, people are willing to come and be this enthusiastic. We feel very blessed. There has never been any impurity in our music or intentions. It’s about time people start supporting live music — music that’s more from the heart... If people of this country support Euphoria so much, they can also support other bands this much,” he said.
Anant Verma, business head, DLF Cyber Hub, said, “The season 3 launch of Friday Jam saw a powerpacked performance by Euphoria, and the audience was fully entertained. Seeing the grand scale and success of this session, we can assure you that the next 12 weeks will have some serious music action every Friday at the Cyber Hub.”
