Veteran actor Randhir Kapoor (above) might come across as a tough man but he ensures he remains the doting father to his two daughters — Karisma (Lolo) and Kareena (Bebo) (left). Of late, a lot has been said about the Kapoor sisters — be it Lolo’s relationship status with rumoured beau Sandeep Toshniwal or the controversy over Bebo’s son Taimur’s name. However, being a non-interfering father, the actor wants his daughters to handle all of that.

“The reason I give so much freedom to my kids is because I’ve been brought up like this by my parents. As kids, we’ve been given the choice of who to marry and what to do and how to lead our lives. So I’ve passed on the legacy to my girls,” says Randhir. On Karisma’s rumoured affair and the probability of her remarriage, Randhir says, “She has gone through a lot in her life, so I’d want to see her happy now. As for marrying again, whenever she wants to, she can. She has not told me anything about it and I’ve not asked either. Wherever she finds peace and happiness, I would support her.”

After Karisma got over with her messy divorce, Kareena embraced motherhood and gave Randhir happiness who became a grandfather. About the fuss created over Kareena’s son, Taimur’s name, Randhir says it’s nobody’s business. “There are so many Sikanders and Akbars who would’ve killed people at wars. Taimur was centuries ago and is now dead and forgotten. My daughter and son-in-law liked the word Taimur and named their son. They didn’t ask me and why should they? I even don’t like my pet name Daboo, so what!”
