Be it Miley Jab Hum Tum, Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna or Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, actor Arjun Bijlani (above) feels that playing a romantic hero comes naturally to him. However, the actor, who enjoys playing such roles, wants to explore other genres of acting as well.

“I would love to be a part of a fantasy thriller or a sci-fi show. If made well, I think the TV audience would love to watch such shows. It’s time that even I explore out-of-the-box roles. If I get the opportunity, I would love to play an astronaut or undercover agent on television,” says the 34-year-old actor.

Arjun also feels drawn towards playing an antihero on the small screen. “What Shah Rukh Khan did in Darr (1993), I would like to do something similar. Anti-heroes are quite interesting. In such characters, there’s so much scope for an actor,” he adds.

The actor opines that shows on the small screen usually have similar plot and even the story develops on similar lines. “Most of the shows have same stories. There’s a family, the hero and heroine come together and then they move apart and again come close and so on. If the makers have new concepts it will definitely appeal to the audience, and as actors, we will receive creative satisfaction,” he says.
