Hansal Mehta’s fan moment with Denis Menochet

Actor Shah Rukh Khan now has a Twitter family of 28 million. Shah Rukh, 51, is quite active on social media. He regularly posts about his personal and profession­al life on his social media accounts. Among Bollywood’s leading Khans, Shah Rukh has the maximum followers on Twitter, but trails behind megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has 29.3 million followers. Salman Khan has 25.6 million followers, Aamir Khan has 21.9 million followers and Akshay Kumar has 20.2 million followers on the social media platform. This year hasn’t been great for Shah Rukh, as his films Raees and Jab Harry Met Sejal didn’t do well at the box office. He is currently busy with filmmaker Aanand L Rai’s yet-to-be titled movie, which features the actor as a dwarf. One of the best known actors of Indian cinema, Shah Rukh is often referred to as, King of Bollywood by his fans. He embarked on his acting career with several television series in the late ’80s, before making his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana. He was also seen portraying negative roles in films like Darr, Baazigar and Anjaam.

The actor featured in a series of romantic films including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Mohabbatei­n (2000) and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham .... (2001). He was also seen in Devdas (2002), Swades (2004), My Name Is Khan (2010), Chak De! India (2007) and others.

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta had a fan moment with French actor Denis Menochet at the ongoing Toronto Internatio­nal Film Festival 2017 (TIFF). The director, whose film Omerta was premiered at the festival and received an overwhelmi­ng response by the audience, on Tuesday shared a photograph of himself along with Menochet.

“Fan moment at TIFF 17. With the amazing Denis Menochet,” Mehta captioned the image.

Menochet is known for his performanc­e in films like Inglouriou­s Basterds by Quentin Tarantino, Robin Hood and The Adopted among many others. Omerta, which stars Rajkummar Rao in the titular role, tells the story of infamous British-born terrorist Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, also popularly known as the man responsibl­e for the 2002 kidnapping and murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.
