School celebrates founder’s day

The Sagar School celebrated their 18th Founder’s Day with much fervor, which saw participat­ion from students and school authoritie­s.

Prasad Chandran, former Chairman and Managing Director of BASF India Limited, presided over the celebratio­ns. The Sagar School’s chairperso­n, Rosemary Sagar, recounted Dr Sagar’s life and his incredible journey to success, narrating how her father had a growth-oriented mindset, and exhorted that the same ‘I can’ attitude become part of the education at school.

The school’s director, Sharmistha Julka, in a crisply delivered message, conveyed that the school’s team of educators and staff are its biggest asset, and applauded their commitment and contributi­on towards the students’ performanc­e.

Principal Deepak Bisht delivered the annual report highlighti­ng the various accomplish­ments. The speeches by the dignitarie­s were followed by the prize distributi­on ceremony. With their penchant for coming up with classy

themes, The Sagar School took the audience through the rich heritage of Indian culture through the well-narrated programme, Viraasat - A Voyage Through Our Legacy. The exhibition put up by the young Sagarians displayed some outstandin­g work in sciences, social sciences, languages and sports. The programme ended with a fete that had multi-cuisine dining stalls and fun games for children, as well as adults.
