The Japanese automaker has also taken huge strides towards manufactur­ing safer cars with greater safety measures underlined by the fact that every Toyota car comes with dual SRS airbags and seat belts with pre tensioners and force limiters across all variants.

Toyota's connected services platform known as Toyota Connect, which was launched last year, provides a bouquet of services including easy navigation, service booking and 24x7 emergency services.

But what stole the show on the opening day of the expo at the Toyota Booth was the grand unveil of the %Paris, which will set new benchmarks in safety and comfort Also, the feature packed car boasts of 12 first-in-segment features like 7 SRS Airbags, Roof mounted rear air vents with ambient illuminati­on, Power driver seat, Front parking sensors, Hill start assist etc. After an exhilarati­ng performanc­e by Shamisen and Shakuhachi the new Varis made its way to the stage amidst an excited media audience.

Stating the unveil of the car as spectacula­r, Mr. Akito Tachibana (Managing Director - Toyota Kirloskar Motor) called the new Vans, a perfect example of a modem Toyota car. Also present at the unveil were Mr. Susumu Matsuda (President of Toyota Motor Asia Pacific), Takatomo Suzuki (Chief Engineer of the Starts), Mr. Vikram Kirloskar (Vice Chairman, Toyota Kirloskar Motor) and Mr N Raja (Deputy Managing Director, Sales & Service at Toyota Kirloskar Motor). With a positive opening on the first day, things look upbeat for Toyota fans on the days to follow.
