Organised by Delhi Tourism in association with the Delhi government, this year’s theme of the festival is Grow Garden: Save Delhi that focusses on getting participants to display their creativity on gardening. “This year’s Garden Tourism Festival is set to be a glorious event, similar to its previous editions. It will have many government and private agencies taking part in it, and Manish Sisiodia, the deputy chief minister and minister of tourism, Delhi, will inaugurate it. We hope Delhiites join us in this celebration and also strive for a cleaner and greener Delhi through it,” says Shurbir Singh, managing director, Delhi Tourism.

Apart from the 22 acres of land dotted with colourful flowers, this year’s festival will also display terrariums, floral animals, potted plants, foliage, medicinal and herbal plants, hanging baskets, a variety of flowers (and other plants and accessories) to choose from.

And not just this. There will be live Sufi, folk and cultural performances, magic shows, on-the-spot painting competitions for kids, and a host of food stalls that will serve delicacies from around the country. For those commuting to the festival, it will also provide free shuttle service from the nearest metro station. Excited much? Plan your weekend and don’t forget to keep a slot for this festival.
