I have almost everything ever made in denim, says Rhea
Actor Rhea Chakraborty is someone who knows exactly what she wants. From her love for nude lipsticks to tassels, her go-to fashion detail, the 25-year-old has her style sorted. And, when it comes to a favourite, denim, she says, is her constant bae. Here, the actor spill the beans on her favourite style takeaways and beauty mantra. What are the three fashion trends that you love? 1) Tassels are my favourite! Even though my friends hate me because of it, I have everything in tassel, and now, I have overdone it. I can [all at the same time] wear tassel boots, jackets and [carry] a tassel bag with it. I don’t find it OTT (over the top) at all.
2) I love denim! I have [almost] everything ever made in denim!
3) No make-up look. Like the no-makeup-look that takes two hours to look good! Yup, that one! Do you find social media taxing? Or, do you think it is indispensable? I love social media, and love being on Instagram. It’s a great connector. I know that sometimes things go out of hand. Girls are told what to wear, and what not to, they get trolled, and that, of course, is upsetting. Let them (women) do (what they want to). People, who follow you and watch your work, are your people. There are rumours, and you get papped now and then. But I think that if you have chosen this [life] and [all being under the limelight] the fame, then these things come along [are a part of life]. Followers now want to connect with the ‘real’ person, and if they see you in a not-so-good outfit, they are okay with it.
What are the five things you can’t live without?
My brother, lip balm, my phone charger, ice cream and pizza.
What’s your fitness mantra?
I work out, and I eat a lot. So basically, I work out so that I can eat a lot. I also make sure to drink plenty of water.
What’s your beauty mantra?
Invest in a lot of [skincare] creams. Invest in your skin so that you don’t have to invest in a lot of make-up.
