Cheers! To a swanky new brewpub in Gurugram
After the outstanding accomplishment of Molecule Air Bar, restaurateur Manish Sharma, is back with another exciting brewpub, The Drunken Botanist, in Gurugram’s Cyberhub.
The Drunken Botanist, also popular as TDB amongst Gurugrammers, based on the theme of a botany lab, where mixologists create fascinating concoctions using a variety of herbs, flowers and fruits. It’s is spread across two floors, and is unlike anything else you’ve seen in Delhi-NCR.
The décor of the restaurant screams wonderful as there are rustic brick walls, colourful pots and plants, carved artifacts, and hints of green to everything, from the walls and the upholstery to the floral shirts of the staff.
On the setup of the new brewery, owner-cum-director, Manish Sharma, says, “The motive behind this microbrewery, specially designed by Brew Indian, is to give guests a memorable brewpub-dining experience. Currently, we have on offer Pilsner, Lager, German wheat and Belgian wheat. We’re also offer American Brown Ale using single American hop and Blonde Ale, spiced with coriander. For a fruity touch, we have this special watermelon wheat beer. Soon, our brew master, Nishant Grover and I will be offering rotating styles of beer and will be blending in local ingredients to our brews.”
A few cocktails such as the Curry Clovers Club and Mysore Colada are created using regional produce. And, for teetotalers, there’s Mint and Sage Mojito and Spiced Iced Tea.
In food, the Laboratory Lamb Chops, Pork Belly Roll, Sri Lankan style Kottu Roti, Chhole Bhature Tacos, Lal Maas Ravioli, and the spongy Tres Leche are some of the stars from the kitchen of Chef Chanchal Datta.
