PUTTING A STARRY TOUCH TO A FITTER, HEALTHIER INDIA
Ibelieve that the greatest gift you can give to your family and the world is a healthy you,” said author-speaker Joyce Meyer. These words resonate true at all times, across age and sections of the society. With this thought in mind, actor Suniel Shetty, Fever FM and My FM came together to launch MFI — Mission Fit India.
The launch event also saw the presence of Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, along with a turnout of over 300 guests.
The objective of the campaign is to encourage everyone to be fit and challenge the misconception that being healthy is tough. The 120-day fitness festival by Fever FM, the radio channel of HT Media Ltd, is divided into four phases and will reach out to people across 43 cities in India. Having an unprecedented scale, the campaign will be on radio and digital platforms as well. Mission Fit India is a health and wellness movement for time-starved people with responsibilities — housewives, working women and corporate executives. It is for someone who is not into extreme fitness, to get healthy with ‘ease and simplicity’ in their own space.
Commenting on the fitness initiative, actor Suniel Shetty, who also showed off his yoga expertise at the event, said, “Fitness is an area where there is yet to be a concerted effort in this country. While this generation constantly worries about getting fit, the lack of correct guidance and inertia due to misconceptions hampers people from taking an active step in that direction. The aim of this movement is to simplify fitness for every citizen of this country.”
