For actor Ashish Sharma, vacations are most often unplanned.
He says, “We do not plan on travelling to a fixed number of countries or cities in a year. It is quite spontaneous as far as the location or travel dates are concerned. Unlike in India, international travel requires a little planning as you need the visas, hotel and other bookings in place.”
Ashish admits that he and his wife Archana T Sharma are diehard travellers at heart.
He says, “There is always an adventure and thrill element wherever we go, as we like to explore the place to the fullest. We not only like to go to popular destinations, but we are also excited about discovering ne places and do unusual thing When we went Bali, Indonesi which is a tran and calm place, decided to party night at a popula nightclub. And, th part is that we are no people at all. We enjoy t
So, water sports was anoth thing that we thoroughly enjoyed.”
The couple visited places such as Ubud Monkey Forest, Tanah Lot Temple, Beratan Lake, Jimbaran Bay and Central Ubud.
They also tried local cuisine, especially vegetarian dishes such as Gado Gado, Bok Choy and the spicy green chilli sambal. Ashish says, “I personally think, what makes a place different from any other, is its people. You do everything as a traveller — shop, eat, buy souvenirs — but, how the locals interact and respond to you, will always stay with you and that is a memory. As for Bali, the place has a very soothing and spiritual aura to it.”
For vacationers heading to Bali, Ashish highly recommends water sports, the Bali swing, a visit to temples, as well as local food and spa therapies.
