Actor Abhishek Bajaj is having the time of his life. The actor has just bagged his first Bollywood film, the much-anticipated sequel to Student of the Year (2012), where he will star alongside Tiger Shroff, and fellow newcomers Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday.

“I auditioned for the film, and only after a couple of rounds, got selected. I have only given five to six film auditions till date. I did get a film before this, but it didn’t work out,” he shares. However, taking on the project has also meant less sleep for Abhishek.

“I have worked for 36 hours straight without catching a wink... I sleep while travelling as a solution. Also, we are shooting in so many different places such as Mussoorie, Rishikesh, Mumbai, and Pune,” he says.

A lot of TV actors have progressed to Bollywood successfully, and Abhishek, known for shows such as Dil Deke Dekho and Parvarrish, hopes to emulate them. Have films been his ultimate goal? “I feel if you are a good actor, then the medium doesn’t matter. My performance has to be up to the mark. My goal when I decided to become an actor, was to act well,” he says.

Abhishek is all praises for Tiger Shroff, his co-star in the film. “Tiger is very nice. We bonded well and also share a couple of interests, like fitness and films. He’s grounded, too. We have many action sequences together,” he says.
