Sunny determined to protect her kids from the public eye

- Rishabh Suri

What sets Sunny Leone apart from other celebs is how calmly she fields every question you throw her way. That too, with a giggle here or there. Sunny, who has come a long way from when she started out with dance tracks in Bollywood to now, when she’s juggling three mediums: films, web and TV. She says it’s not too hard to manage it all when you love what you do.

“I’m a person with schedules, and I love working. I think if I get to work every single day, then I am doing my job right!,” she says, as she gets talking about work, family and paparazzi. Excerpts:

You and Daniel are now parents to sons Asher and Noah and daughter Nisha. Does managing personal life with work get challenging?

It can be challenging, but by the grace of God, and an amazing family, we have scheduled everything in such a way that we don’t miss anything. Both Daniel and me are hands-on parents. Today is the perfect example. I spent the entire morning with my boys and daughter. Nisha goes to a summer art school. Mommy goes to work, papa goes to office. She comes home, takes a nap for an hour or two, and by the time she’s up, me and Daniel are there. Both Daniel and me really wanted children,

and now that we have, we want to spend as much time with them as we can.

Twoyearold Nisha has travelled with you to a couple of places. How does she react to people clicking your pictures?

She’s too naïve, she doesn’t understand what paparazzi or fans are. She doesn’t comprehend anything of that! She will, in the future, but right now, we want to keep our three kids sheltered from the media and everything. It’s my and Daniel’s personal choice to shelter them as long as we can and let them be themselves before they are forced to be in the public eye.

Does it get to you when people click her pictures?

It doesn’t! We just want to shelter them a little bit longer. What baby or two-year old wants a bunch of flashes in their faces or enjoys it? There are some children who love it, and that’s great, they are born entertainers and just love that attention, however for us, we decided that if people are clicking pictures, we would not be getting upset with anybody. But we won’t keep posting pictures of our children.
