FASHION FOR A CAUSE
On Saturday evening, the Fashion Design Council of India organised a fashion show, titled Unity in Diversity, with Tamana, a school for the specially-abled in Delhi. The show kick-started with a live performance by visuallychallenged singer Diwakar; and a group of kids dancing to the tunes of Japanese music, reflecting the theme of the evening. The fashion show, aimed at spreading awareness about inclusion, saw specially-abled kids walk the ramp, with principals of different schools, wearing outfits by top designers. Those seen at the event included the Japanese ambassador Kenji Hiramatsu, High Commissioner of Australia Harinder Sidhu, and High Commissioner of New Zealand Joanna Kempkers.
