When we talk about delectable piping hot rolls, the first name that comes to mind is Rule the

Rolls. Founded by Haji Banda Hasan, who started making Mughlai food in the Jama Masjid area of Old Delhi in the 1960s, it has won millions of hearts since then by serving delectable food.

Over the years, he started a fusion of rolls with modern fast food while maintaining the health factor. The joint also claims to be the first one to introduce roomali rolls.

The legacy is now being carried forward by his sons, Mohammad Javed and Saleem, who are together managing the journey of the age-old recipes of Haji Banda Hasan at Rule the Rolls.

The joint offers mouthwatering vegetarian and nonvegetarian rolls and kebabs along with succulent burgers that include Chicken Tikka, Chicken Seekh Kebab, Chicken Malai Tikka, Mutton Tikka, Mutton Seekh Kebab, Paneer Tikka, Fish Tikka Roomali Roti and Mutton Tikka Roomali Roti.

Talking on the food, Mohammad Javed says, “We use homemade spices, fresh meat and chicken which is cooked in a traditional way, which means using charcoal. Our ingredients are simple and fresh that makes our food very light.”

Saleem says, “Our rolls are very popular—our father used wheat-based roomali to make rolls. We are still using the same, which helps to make the rolls lighter and healthier. We don't use oil or ghee, which makes it healthy food. After a great response from Gurgaon now we are back to Khan Market.” Upcoming outlet for Rule the Rolls is in Saket –PVR.
