Busy with two Telugu films — Maharshi starring Mahesh Babu and a film with Prabhas — while simultaneously shooting for Bollywood film Housefull 4, actor Pooja Hegde has her hands full. Another Telugu film, Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, where she stars with NTR Jr, released recently and is doing well, so clearly this has been her busiest year.

“I’m having the best time of my life. Work keeps me happy and I have so much right now that I don’t have any free time at all. But who is complaining? I am enjoying shuttling from one place to another, [being on different sets], [working with] different stories and different people,” says the actor, who made her Bollywood debut in Mohenjo Daro (2016).

As for her current projects, Pooja says the response to Aravinda Sametha is making her happier. “Audiences loved the film and the reaction has been very good. I am being appreciated for the character I portrayed in the film. What else I could have asked for? I feel overwhelmed,” she adds.

shooting the major chunk for Maharshi and just a bit of it is left. Along with that, she has also started prepping for the film with Prabhas. The actor feels lucky as an artist because the characters she’s playing in these films are all different from each other.

“In Maharshi I play this girl who is very innocent and a little childish. In the course of life, experiences mature her and she undergoes a transformation. In the film Aravinda Sametha, my character is very mature and her emotional quotient is very high. At the same time, she is practical and there is a goofy side to her too. Housefull 4 is full of fun like the earlier parts, and I play a lighthearted soul. In the film with Prabhas, my part is not like any of the above three. This is what we all want to do as actors, explore different characters in different stories,” signs off Pooja.
