Actor Vikrant Massey made quite a big impression on viewers with pivotal roles in films such as Lootera (2013), Dil Dhadakne Do (2015) and A Death In The Gunj (2017). However, he has slowed down since then on the number of films that he takes on.

Asked if this is planned, or if there was a lack of good offers, the actor says, “Probably yes, it was a conscious decision. At the same time, I will be honest and say there were not a lot of options for me back then. I am still in that (phase), I am still a newcomer, just five years old in films. When I started off with Lootera (also starring Ranveer Singh), one project led to another. Consistency is something I have focused on, and that’s been my priority.”

He goes on to add that it’s also to do with his attention span. “The number of opportunities were very few to begin with. But it’s been a gentle, generic sort of rise. It was gradual. I can’t multi-task, and can do only one thing at a time. This is an annoying trait, which a lot of people pinpoint ‘you are doing only one thing, not doing other things’,” he says.

“But people have sort of invested faith in me, and there are more projects coming. I am reading a lot of scripts,” adds Vikrant, who will next be seen in a web series with actor Pankaj Tripathi.

There have also been reports that he stars in the Kangana Ranaut- Rajkummar Rao starrer Mental Hai Kya?. But Vikrant clarifies, “No, I am not doing it!”
