Actor Alankrita Sahai is very excited to see the response to her second film, the recently-released Namaste England. The film’s team, starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles, has been on a promotional spree, and been sharing interesting anecdotes from the film’s shoot.

However, there is one scene, which not many know of and which Alankrita says that she will never forget — her first scene with Arjun, which was shot in London, in freezing cold!

“In that scene, Alankrita was required to wear cotton pyjamas and a thin jacket. Given the freezing weather, she was barely able to stand straight, forget about mouthing dialogues. On top of it, it was an intense and critical scene, which changes the graph of Alankrita’s character in the film. Although the crew provided warmers, it was Arjun who ensured that Alankrita felt comfortable. Being the gentleman that he is, he was so concerned for her that after every cut, he would keep telling the crew to get a jacket for her,” says a source.

Alankrita, who was earlier seen in Love Per Square Foot alongside actor Vicky Kaushal, recalls the moment and says, “I understood how tough it would be for actors who shot scenes in sarees on mountains, and I absolutely could relate to them. I froze, and my teeth were biting my tongue of. But I focused on the performance and forgot the cold weather and dived into the dialogues.”

The determination to deliver her best also kept her away from giving up. She says, “I had to deliver my scene in the best way, and it was my first scene with Arjun! We had never interacted or rehearsed before. Plus, it’s the scene that changes everything in the film,” But she is glad that Arjun helped her. “The weather was very rough but Arjun was very kind,” she concludes.
