Actor Zareen Khan talks to us about her diet and workout regime and how she manages to stay fit.

Which is the one breakfast food that you must have?

Eggs are a must-have for me every morning.

One fattening food item that you just can’t resist?

Nutella, I can gorge on this chocolate-hazelnut delight all day long.

How do you get back in shape post a fattening indulgence? By intermitte­nt fasting (where one alternates between periods of eating and fasting). It helps give a break to my system and I get back with a bang.

Do you prefer mini meals? What do they normally contain?

No. I strictly do not believe in snacking or mini meals. According to me, they are the reason for weight gain.

A diet plan that always works for you?

I have tried many diets and most of them worked in terms of weight loss but they weren’t sustainabl­e. I’m currently on keto diet combined it with intermitte­nt fasting.

Do you work out at home? What are the exercises you follow? Not really... but if I don’t have the time or if I’m not in the mood to go to the gym, then, I do a hundred suryanamas­kars at home, which is a great workout altogether. Else, I climb the stairs for 30 to 45 minutes. Do you prefer outdoor or indoor physical activity? I love the outdoors but considerin­g the weather in our country, I mostly do indoor activities.

Which are your favourite physical activities?

I prefer mixed martial arts, dance routines, tennis, functional training, swimming and yoga. I can’t stick to just one form of physical activity.

A health tip that you rely on. Hydration and sleep is very important for overall wellbeing.
