Inever doubted my future or career choice or had any second thoughts,” says popular TV star Vivian Dsena who completes 11 years in the industry. He loves being in this profession, as “an actor never has to retire and you can act all your life”. Vivian, who debuted with Ekta Kapoor’s TV drama Kasamh Se, points out he was “clueless about what it entails to be an actor and the challenges in the field”.

He shares, “I was an amateur then. On day one of shooting for Kasamh Se, I didn’t know where to look while shooting a close up scene with another actor. I learnt the technicalities of working with camera and light over time. I never dreamt that I would make it in this industry and come so far in life. I have always followed my heart and yes, I have made mistakes in life, too. But I have learnt a lot as well. I think everything is destined in one’s life and good karma always helps. I simply kept moving on from one project to the other and improving myself with each role.”

Vivian reveals that he admired Ram Kapoor, who was his co-star in Kasamh Se. Ram played Vivian’s dad in the show and the duo bonded well on the set. “Ram Kapoor was my mentor and guru when I started my career. I used to look up to him and he taught me a lot about acting. I used to think if I do the right things and make the right choices in my career, someday, I might be where he is or as successful as him in the industry. Though I have not really evaluated my career graph but I will admit that today, I am proud of myself and what I have achieved in my career.” Even today, Vivian and Ram are good friends and share a cool rapport. “Whenever we meet, it is always wonderful. I really admire him. He is a generous man with a heart of gold. Once when he met me, he said I was doing well and that he was proud of me which felt like an achievement.”
