Getting in touch with cops becomes interactive
Imagine losing your phone or something else that is just as important moments before boarding a flight. Until recently, it could mean a lost cause, but with the installation of a public facilitation kiosk by Delhi Police, you could just head to the airport forecourt and file a complaint in no time. The panel — an interactive man-machine system that lets you access 11 public welfare services digitally — has been recently deployed at the Indira Gandhi Airport, which sees over 50,000 passengers travel through it every day.
“The idea behind the commissioning of this kiosk is to provide better police related services at one point without requiring public to go to the Police Station. Our sole purpose is to reach and help people in the most convenient way,” says Sanjay Bhatia, DCP, IGI Airport.

update. Isn’t it amazing?”
Police Commissioner, Amulya Patnaik, who launched the panel, says, “To meet the challenges faced by the Delhiites, we have taken several initiatives and as per data and reports, we are in a much better position right now — from women safety to other crimes. This kiosk and interactive panel is an addition to all those initiatives to serve people in a better way. They will be functioning 24*7.”
Concluding the event, mime artists from Jagran Manch also staged a skit to emphasise the benefits of Delhi Police’s safety application, Himmat.
