Being perfect in each role that one essays is a responsibility that every actor has. Actor Radhika Madan has decided to go all out to prep for her role in Shiddat, which requires her to learn swimming. Radhika, who didn’t know the sport, was quick to enrol herself for swimming lessons.

“Swimming is an integral part of the project, and I’ve never learnt swimming professionally. I just knew how to float with no correct techniques,” says Radhika.

The actor, who has worked in films such as Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota (2018) and Pataakha (2018), enjoyed the training sessions. “It’s been an interesting journey. I learnt swimming for about an hour and a half every day,” says Radhika, who went to Bandra, Mumbai for her classes.

The actor has, earlier too, learnt new skills for her character and says it’s great that she gets to learn so much more than just acting. “Fortunately, whatever projects I’ve chosen, got me to learn a lot. I learnt martial arts for Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota and now I’m learning how to swim for Shiddat. I have been learning new things with every project,” she says.

Radhika also wishes to continue with her swimming lessons post the film gets done. “I’d continued to lose weight after Pataakha and then I learned martial arts. I might continue swimming even after this because I really enjoy it.”

THE ACTOR HAS PREVIOUSLY LEARNT MARTIAL ARTS FOR HER ROLE IN MARD KO DARD NAHI HOTA AND EVEN CONTINUED IT FOR A LONG TIME.
