Actor Viineet Kumar’s performance in Mukkabaaz (2017) garnered him a lot of critical appreciation and was screened at several film festivals. And he also got his due credit as a writer and lyricist for the film. Now, it seems, his upcoming film, Aadhaar, too, will tread the same path. Aadhaar talks about the struggles of a common man caught amid bureaucratic red-tapism.

A source close to the actor reveals, “Aadhaar will make its world premiere at the 24th Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. The festival, which invites talent from all around the world, will screen the film in October under the category — A Window on Asian Cinema. Directed by National Award winner, Suman Ghosh, Aadhaar is perhaps one of the most relevant films in today’s times and Viineet is very happy with the first platform where it will be screened.”

Talking about it, Viineet says, “This film has been made keeping the realities of every citizen in mind. My character, who struggles with the government’s bureaucratic procedures, represents the common man and his state of mind. I truly believe that this film has the calibre to touch millions of hearts because of its realistic representation.”

“There couldn’t have been a better platform than Busan International Film Festival to reach its first set of audiences. I am very happy and grateful to the makers of the film and organisers of the festival to bring this movie to this stage,” the actor adds. VIINEET KUMAR, Sneha Mahadevan

Actor Rasika Dugal, who was recently seen in popular web show Delhi Crime, has been shooting for her upcoming web show Dr Kapoor in Coonoor for over a month now. She has been stationed in Tamil Nadu, and recently got a chance to explore the beautiful hill station.

A source close to her informs, “It has been a busy year for Rasika, she has either been shooting or promoting her projects the entire year. Since she has been in Coonoor for a long time. On her off days, she explored the hill station, along with a localite. She visited tea estates and also went on a trek.”

Talking about the same, Rasika says, “The way you get to explore a city when you are on shoot is so different from when you are there as a tourist. There are so many interesting places we have shot in and so many lovely people I have met — people I would not have interacted with had I come to Coonoor on a holiday. Every other day, someone brings me a home-cooked meal or introduces me to a new Coonoor speciality. On my off days, I get to explore the outskirts of the city — a tea estate, a waterfall, a walk down a scenic valley or a trek up a mountain. The hospitality and generosity of the people of Coonoor has been so heartwarming.” Rasika will next be seen in Mirzapur Season 2, and

Delhi Crime Season 2.
