Arnold wants to travel back in time and terminate pollution

-

Arnold Schwarzenegger made The Terminator unforgettable and it made him a megastar. Now he’s back as the iconic character — going from Judgment Day to Terminator: Dark Fate. Known for being one of the biggest role models in the world, the actor has adopted a healthy vegan lifestyle recently. “Now I eat more oatmeal, and greens, and vegetables, and healthy foods. I stay away more from the meats and more from animal products and animal proteins, because there was this misconception that that’s the only way you get big and strong, so now I back off that and I feel much better,” says the 72-year-old star.

The veteran superstar has changed his lifestyle over the last couple of years and has become quite the ambassador for environmental protection. He, in fact, wishes he could go back in time as a Terminator and create a green energy future.

“I think there was a time in America when there were battles about whether we should go with electric vehicles, or should we go with natural gas, or with hydrogen, or gasoline or diesel. ‘Which direction should we go?’ And it would have been great if we had, 100 years ago, gone in the direction of electric. Because then the rest of the world would have gone in that direction and it wouldn’t be in as much of a mess as we’re in today, environmentally. Even though there are some who think that this is not a thing,” says the star of films such as Predator (1987), Commando (1985) and True Lies (1994).

The actor continues, “I’m not even talking about global climate change; I’m talking about the pollution that has been created because of fossil fuels. Millions of people die every year because of pollution. So, if I could be a terminator who could time travel, I would go back to then and convince them of the course of a green energy future, because now it’s very difficult to turn that ship around.”
