I don’t get conscious ever, says Aparshakti

- Shreya Mukherjee

Getting the audience’s appreciation is perhaps the best form of award for an actor. Aparshakti Khurana is living that happy moment right now, after all his portrayal of Fahim Rizvi, in Mudassar Aziz’s Pati Patni Aur Woh touched a chord with the audience.

“God has really been kind in giving me roles which help enhance my craft and to get this kind of acceptance and love from the audience is overwhelming for an artist,” he says, while sharing his gratitude for Mudassar. “He gave him really good lines and I hardly improvised,” says the actor, who was seen as Kartik Aaryan’s colleague and friend in the film.

Aparshakti is content with the way his career has moved forward ever since he started his professional journey as a radio jockey. “I’ve always been a happy person, even when I was not an actor. Even when I was an RJ, I was satisfied with the creative space. With Dangal (2016), Stree (2018), Luka Chuppi and now Pati Patni Aur Woh, things have become better for me,” adds the 32-year-old.

While many actors gradually become conscious about the roles they take up, Aparshakti prefers to go with the flow.

“I’m usually my jumpy self, the up-tempo guy to keep the energy around me positive. When it comes to choosing roles, I follow my heart and go for the ones that I feel would make me happy as a performer,” says the actor, who will next be seen in two upcoming Bollywood projects.

I’ve always been a happy person, even when I was not an actor. Even when I was an RJ, I was satisfied with what the creative space.
