Adentist, singer, actor and host, actor Meiyang Chang has donned many hats and feels content with the way his career has shaped up in the entertainment world. But still unfulfilled is his wish to settle down.

“I’ve been in two serious relationships, but they didn’t work out. Maybe, because I’m a very difficult person to be with. Even though I get along well with everyone, I feel I’m very stubborn. In a relationship, there is a lot of give and take, and I feel that

I’m more of a taker than a giver,” he says.

Nevertheless, Meiyang believes “marriage is a game of equals”. “There have to be equal adjustments and compromises. The day I fall in love, and things work out, I would be the luckiest person,” adds Meiyang.

He finds that his friends have become better after marriage and the former reality TV contestant hopes to experience that “magic in my life someday too.”

The marriage alarm bell started ringing for Meiyang when he turned 30. Now at 37, he says it has become stressful to his parents and “the family is freaking out”.

However, it hasn’t been a conscious decision for him to delay settling down. “I was genuinely busy. I used to come home at 3 am from shoots or parties and I would wake up in the afternoon. I was stressed about payments and shoots. My parents understood that showbiz is very volatile. So, they never forced me initially. But the pressure of getting married started hitting me when my dad started asking what I am doing about it,” Meiyang shares.
