In May, Singapore-based Indian-origin artist Shubigi Rao was announced as the curator of the fifth edition of Kochi-Muziris Biennale scheduled for December 2020. An archivist and a visual artist, Rao is popular for her layered installations. Interestingly, Rao, who was born in Mumbai, showcased her works at KMB 2018. Besides, Rao is also a writer who actively participated in the Singapore Writers Festival in 2013 and 2016.

Also, the annual India Art Fair that takes place in Delhi, was founded by Neha Kirpal, who made way for Jagdip Jagpal, as the fair director, in 2018.
