When it comes to work, Ronit Bose Roy prefers to set his ego aside. The actor is so much in love with his craft that despite being a part of the television and film industry for almost three decades and having done some great quality work on the web too, he has no apprehension in approaching the people he wants to collaborate with.

“This is something that somebody told me a long time back, ki ‘Bachha jab tak rota nahin hain maa usko doodh nahin pilati’. Everybody who knows me knows that mere andar koot koot kar ke selfrespect bhara hai, par ego naam ki cheez nahi hai,” says Ronit, who has Shamshera, season two of Hostages and his Tamil film starring Jayam Ravi coming up next.

Over a period of time, the 54year-old has realised how much his approach has helped him grow and do better on the professional front. “So when I meet a person I want to work with, I always tell them how much I loved his or her body of work and request them to cast me if there’s an opportunity. That may or may not happen, but humility is one of my strong points,” says Ronit, admitting that he was a different person before.

The other thing that has changed in his life is the way he deals with social media. Though initially the actor was not interested, eventually he has become quite active on such platforms and keeps his fans updated about what’s going on in his life.

“I’m neither in love with nor against social media. I’m very clear that I am what I am because of my fans and audiences. They want to know about what’s keep me busy, what projects I’m doing next and all so I keep sharing glimpses of my life whenever I get time. When I don’t post something for long, they do get upset and some requested me to not stop posting as it makes them happy. I can’t post random things, I can only share things that make sense to me, which is why I feel my online family also connects with me,” says the actor.

As far as negativity on social media is concerned, Ronit says, “It usually gets drowned in all the positivity and love I receive.”
