The thundering response that Arjun Bijlani’s debut music video Kehndi Haan Kehndi Naa received has got him so excited that he wants to take up more such offers.

“When I was approached to feature in the song, I really liked the lyrics and the music. I enjoyed shooting, as well. It’s always good to do something outside the box. So I was really happy making the song and somewhere knew that it might do well,” Arjun says.

Kehndi Haan Kehndi Naa, sung and composed by sisters Sukriti and Prakriti Kakar, was released earlier this month and has already received over 11 million views on YouTube.

These days, songs often court controversy because of their lyrics or picturisation. Ask Arjun whether this is something he keeps in mind while choosing projects and he explains, “I think music is a personal choice. What you might like, someone else might not. I know the discussion around cheap and nice lyrics, but at the same time I think each caters to its own audience. Having said that I don’t support what is wrong, and as a responsible person I try to make sure I don’t associate with something that doesn’t give out the right message.”

In another first for Arjun, he will be seen next in a thriller web series. “Yes, this is an interesting phase in my career,” he continues, “After Left Right Left, where I got the opportunity to wear the uniform, this web show gives me another chance to feel proud. It’s not just about the 26/11 terror attack, but there are several untold stories shown from the NSG (National Security Guard) perspective...

Both my character and the story has several layers. I’ve immense respect for the uniform and the opportunity to play one of them is overwhelming,” says the actor.

Arjun also talks about what he would like to do next. “I think now I want to explore a romantic comedy… That’s something I haven’t done in the recent times, even on TV,” says the actor, who has received a few more offers from the web.

I know the discussion around cheap and nice lyrics, but at the same time I think each caters to its own audience... as a responsible person I try to make sure I don’t associate with something that doesn’t give out the right message.
