This weekend, art connoisseurs in the Capital are in for a treat, as HT Imagine Fest 2020 is all set to weave its magic

Bringing back the most- awaited art extravaganza in the Capital, Ambience Group presents Hindustan Times Imagine Fest 2020, starts today. The festival, spanning over the weekend, is bringing the best of artworks from Delhi-NCR, and here’s an exclusive look into all that’s in store for you.
From printmaking to an abstract art workshop, there are a lot of options for art lovers of different age groups to explore their creative skills. But that’s not all, folks! HT Imagine Talks will also have popular musician Adnan Sami share his journey over the last two decades, including his recent Padma Shri. Keeping the entertainment factor high with his hits, Rajasthani folk singer Kutle Khan will also perform live at the gala event.
Talking about his association with the fest, Ankush Kaul, president — sales and marketing — Ambience Group, says, “We are delighted to be associated with Hindustan Times yet again for the HT Imagine Fest this year, which engages a large number of people from NCR with the aesthetic and artistic side of the city. It gives us great pleasure to promote the artistic accomplishments of various art studios and individual artists in the Capital.”
Installations by individual artists and studios will be a major attraction for aficionados. In addition, those interested in brushing up their art skills or gaining knowledge must not miss the art walks which will be conducted by art collector and businesswoman Priya Paul, interior stylist Manuu Mansheet and architect Dikshu Kukreja.
The artists showcasing their works are excited about the fest. Geetanjali Kasliwal, from a Jaipur-based interior design studio, says, “It’s a marvel to see art from remote areas of India congregating at HT Imagine Fest, giving a visual treat to art connoisseurs. The installation, Pillow Fights, by designer Ayush Kasliwal, reflects vivid memories from the past, which we cherish throughout our lives. Pillow Fights comes wrapped with many messages — to bring in decency in what we speak, harmony in what we do and morality in what we communicate. It talks about how artful ways of communication can work volumes — without hurting sentiments or hearts!”

Folk singer Kutle Khan will perform at the event from 7pm onwards We are super excited to perform at HT Imagine Fest again. The memories of 2018 edition of the fest are still fresh in our minds, where the Delhi audience showed a lot of love to my music. Dilli ke logon ki understanding towards contemporary Sufi ya folk music is remarkable. They also connect really well with the artist, both on stage and off stage. This year, too, we are expecting the same from Delhiites. We will sing a special version of Jhoole Jhoole Lal Dam Mast Qalandar, tonight.

This fest gives us a great platform to get an insight into this world of paintings and aesthetics. I don’t think style or aesthetics or enjoying art is only dependant on money. Innovation and smart purchasing can bring a lot of joy and value appreciation to any kind of buyer or investor... Such fairs should be organised more regularly and pan India.

Broadening the perspective of art to a very wide audience, HT Imagine fest helps people appreciate and learn to understand the process behind different art pieces. I enjoy art, and being an art collector my role will be to share my views and take on why I like or don’t like something. The whole idea of the walk is to let people see art with a different lens. The more you see, the more you get to refine your ideas and views.

I’ll be exhibiting some abstract works, including Blue and Wilting Empire, in collaboration with Galerie Art Eterne. My abstract series made with soul and emotion constitute compositions where I’ve attempted to capture the essence of the subject, an inner impression and a personal perception. Using vivid colours and bold strokes, I have tried to translate these compositions into the magical dusk when a city is transformed into an ethereal place of beauty.
