Actor Nehha Pendse and her businessma­n beau Shardul Singh Bayas had a big fat Indian wedding in January, and the couple was gearing up for an exotic honeymoon in April. However, the coronaviru­s pandemic has forced the newly-weds to put their plan on hold.

“We did not go for our honeymoon immediatel­y after the wedding because we wanted to visit Japan in April to witness the cherry blossom festival. But abhi honeymoon to hone wala nahi hai coronaviru­s ke wajah se,” reveals Pendse.

The 35-year-old points that they are now holding off their internatio­nal honeymoon plan indefinite­ly. “Japan is not going to be safe for the next few months, or for that matter, any other country. We should just stay safe and at home,” she says.

However, the couple did manage a quick break and visited Ranthambor­e, Rajasthan. “Comparativ­ely, our interiors are safer. We just wanted to head out somewhere.

We didn’t anticipate things to go bad in India, so soon,” the TV actor explains, adding, “The situation has got scary in the past few days. On our way back, flights were getting cancelled, daily life is hampered.”

Now back in Mumbai, they have decided to self-isolate themselves completely. Pendse says she is going to utilise this time to learn cooking and treat her husband with delicacies.

“I think it is time that I learnt cooking. Also, we are both movie buffs, so we will watch a lot of them. We have five dogs at home so I am expecting things to be pretty busy around here,” shares the actor.
