‘Virus will reset the universe’

-

ishwarya Sakhuja says she loves to be a homebody, but as her work does not permit that often, the actor is making sure she uses the self-isolation phase well.

As she has always been fond of cooking and working out,

Sakhuja has been utilising her time for the same. She shares, “I have always wanted to better my culinary skills and had even ordered some cookbooks, but I never got down to really cooking the recipes mentioned in them. So, off late, I have been trying to make different kinds of dishes and have made Rohit (Nag; husband) my guinea pig. I have asked my maids and cook to stay at home and take self quarantining seriously. I am doing all the house work myself, which helps me be on my toes, and Rohit, too, has been of great help.”

Being a diabetic, she not only has to keep a tab on her diet, but also her fitness. Sakhuja has not been missing out on her workouts. “I am an outdoor person, and gyms have never been my thing. So, I have been doing a lot of yoga and home-based workouts. With my health condition, it is extremely important that I eat healthy and right, and stay fit as well,” says the actor, who has done shows such as Saas Bina Sasural, Main Naa Bhoolungi and Trideviyaan.

Talking about the pandemic and people’s reaction to it, the 33-year-old says, “I believe this virus might reset the universe in many ways, and there are many examples of how the forced quarantines are going to do mother earth a lot of good.”

“I also urge people to not panic and buy everything off shelves. Keep in mind that each one of us needs essentials and it is not fair to others that they do not get their share. I have seen people hoarding stuff and there is barely anything left on the shelves in supermarkets for others. Please do not do this. In case of food or medicine, let there be enough for all,” she concludes.
