Chahatt Khanna on lockdown: Now is not the time to crib about it
The sudden countrywide lockdown has changed the way people lived their lives, and celebrities are no exceptions to it. Actor Chahatt Khanna, mother of two, is also among those who are staying very busy to tackle the challenges of the present situation.
Her two daughters, Zohar and Amaira, keep her on her toes all the time. Khanna says, “My friends are like, ‘Oh we are bored’. I, on the other hand, have no time at all. I don’t have a single minute on me because when I am in the house, the kids just want to cling on to me all the time, for everything.”
Elaborating on the need to exercise maximum caution, she adds, “I live with my dad and two very small kids. So, I have to be very careful with them and have to follow all the necessary instructions.”
The 33-year-old recalls how it has been five days since her kids stepped out and played in the park, and it “has been really making them anxious”.
“It is getting on my nerves, basically, but now is not the time to crib about it. The entire country, in fact, most of the world, has come to a standstill. It is not just me and that is something that I keep reminding myself,” explains the actor.
Despite being confined to her house, Khanna is doing her bit to spread awareness on Covid-19. Her recent video, Corona Ko Karo Na, went viral and garnered a lot of appreciation.
“In the initial days, people were so panicked. I wanted to tell them that there is nothing wrong with staying indoors, because it will only save everyone’s lives,” she says.
Welcoming the 21-day lockdown imposed in the country, Khanna says a strong measure such as this had to be taken because people were not taking the outbreak seriously and were venturing out.
“It is just a matter of some days, after that we might have a clean India. Also, we will learn to be more grounded in life after this quarantine experience,” Khanna adds.
