SIX SHOTS OF LIFE

There’s negativity all around but we will focus on the positivity. Our editor picks shots of life that bring a smile

A GOOD HAIR DAY

Change is the essence of life. Singer Neha Bhasin took to Instagram to share a picture where she is donning a new pixie haircut. Known to experiment with her looks, the singer’s short haircut definitely defies conventional beauty standards. Kudos to her as it requires a lot of confidence to pull off such a look. You rock!

BIRTHDAY GIFT? HUG ME TIGHT!

Covid-19 couldn’t stop Beryl Cooke from Kelowna, Canada, from getting birthday hugs on her 80th. Cristi Cooke, her daughter, built a contraption to give her mom what she misses most — hugs! Friends and family lined up to slide their arms into the “hug machine”. All used a hand sanitiser and put on a mask before embracing the birthday girl. One of the sweetest ways to celebrate birthdays!

OUR GREEN WARRIORS

Our little reader, Kabir Shanware from Gurugram, celebrated his eighth birthday by planting mango trees in his locality. He promises to make his planet healthy and green. He says, “I wish to spread happiness and what better way than planting trees, which give oxygen to my family and neighbours.”

CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS

Randeep Hooda took to Instagram to share pictures from his Versova beach, Mumbai, clean-up drive. “The oceans and marine creatures are dying. We are one organism, all interconnected. So, let’s do our bit from wherever we are, by being the change. Let’s stop the use of single-use plastic and be careful with our garbage,” he later said. This will definitely inspire others to actively take part in saving the Earth.

AGE IS JUST A NUMBER

Each day is truly a celebration, the pandemic is slowly teaching us. But it’s something Dame Olivia de Havilland already knows. The former actor, who recently turned 104, went out for a spin on her bicycle, giving us all major fitness goals. Actor Mia Farrow, 75, posted a snap of the centenarian who is as fit as a fiddle. Life is full of adventures at all ages and we should be ready for them.

COMPASSION AT AN EARLY AGE

Rannvijay Singha encourages fans to be gentle to all creatures and posted a cute picture with daughter Kainaat Singh, feeding ducks. The actor tried to convey that compassion is a quality we can imbibe from children. He wrote: “Always be kind to birds and animals. As children we didn’t need anyone to tell us that.”
