While the shy and low-key Priyanka looks into the creative side of their brand, her flamboyant and outgoing brother, Anirudh, focuses on the business domain. The duo is as different as Jil Sander and Balmain. While Priyanka is a quiet minimalist, Anirudh is an unapologetic maximalist. When the duo started working together in 2007, Anirudh got acquainted with his sister’s core philosophy of ‘less is more’. “If I were to put it simply, Anirudh moonlights as my sounding board. He is my harshest critic and also my biggest supporter. I trust his instincts. He tells me if a particular colour or style needs to be added to the final line-up,” says Priyanka.

Personally, too, we temper each other out — while he tends to have crazier ideas, I am more cautious. That said, we have had a huge influence on each other and we are both inclined towards the same things!” shares Tina.

Anirudh adds, “Priyanka is a highly organised person, who likes making lists for everything.” The duo offset each other effortlessly and it’s been a win-win for them and the business.
