Actor Randeep Hooda took to Instagram to share a picture of himself with his dog Bambi, who is an indie adoptee. Hooda is a strong voice for the adoption of indigenous breeds instead of expensive inbred dogs. In the picture, the four-legged furry assistant urges the actor to shift his focus from the horses that he is busy clicking, to her. We couldn’t agree more, Bambi!

Unlikely friendships bring unexpected blessings! Hank, a gentle, giant Newfoundland dog and Willow, a small, sprightly fox, are always horsing around in the yard. Hank’s human, Wendy Poseluzn from Stony Plain, Canada, says, “He actually gets down and plays with her and chases her and they chase each other back and forth. It’s pretty funny to watch.” When you see creatures caring for each other across different species, it makes you realise friendship knows no boundaries.

CREATIVITY AT ITS BEST
Our reader, Deepali Dhruv, from Gurugram, shared how she encourages her daughter Saisha Gupta, 7, to explore her creative side. She says, “Even though rakhis are available in the market, I wanted her to learn skills like cutting, pasting and measuring threads. Every child has a unique vision and she should nurture it.” She has made a beautiful thali with laddoos and handmade rakhis. We can foresee great things to come from the little one.
