Time to go vocal for local with social media app, Explurger

-

The patriotic spirit is inescapable amid the Independence Day cheer. And it is the perfect day to love and support all things Indian, such as Explurger, a truly made in India social media app — that launches today!

Developed by entrepreneur Jitin Bhatia and built on Artificial Intelligence (AI), packed with exciting features to compete with the best apps in market, it aims to further Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

“As you share pictures and videos, the AI of this sleek app automatically creates a Travelogue for you, keeping a count of the exact miles, cities, countries and continents you travelled. You can even create a Bucket List of places you wish to visit, and share your plans with fellow Explurgers,” says Bhatia, the app’s founder.

Talking about the inspiration behind developing the app, Bhatia says, “I had always wondered why despite some of the best apps in the world being powered by

Indian brains, there is no Indian social media app in the top category. With a desire to change that, I decided to build a social media platform that would be smart enough to do something meaningful with my pictures, travel check-ins, videos, etc. And that’s how Explurger was born. Now, my labour of love, Explurger is all

Aset to be my Independence Day gift to India and the world. I request you all to support this Indian app by downloading it. I’d love to see PM Modi, US president Donald Trump, Mark Zuckerberg and others

Explurging. Celebrities and influencers can even get verified accounts on the app. I hope people go vocal for local with Explurger.”

Also, with this app, you no longer have to stick with one like as you can give up to three Kudos; with Spread you can share all your Explurges with other social media apps; and every time you explore a new country, city, cafe, or share a post or get Kudos on your wall, your Explurger Level goes up.

The app is available on iOS and Android.

Singer-actor John Legend and model Chrissy Teigen, who have been married since 2013, are expecting their third child. The news was confirmed by a source close to the couple to CNN.

Legend, 41, and Teigen, 34, are already parents to two kids — daughter Luna (4) and son Miles (2).

The speculation around the pregnancy began after the family of four appeared together in the music video of the Grammy and Oscarwinning artiste’s newly released song, Wild.

At the end of the video, the All of Me and Glory hit maker is seen embracing his wife, as she cradles her small baby bump.

Actor-singer Queen Latifah is joining hands with actor-singer Jamie Foxx to executive produce a new film about the life of civil rights activist and gospel singer Mahalia Jackson. Three-time Grammy winner Jill Scott is set to play the title role in the film titled Mahalia!, reported Variety. Scott also is known for starring in films such as Why Did I Get

Married (2007) and the TV series The First Wives Club.

The upcoming film, based on Darlene Donloe’s biography Mahalia Jackson, will narrate the true story of the artiste and her entertainment career — with career highlights such as becoming the first gospel artist to sing at Carnegie Hall — as well as her behind-the-scenes political and social work alongside activist Martin Luther King Jr and US President John F Kennedy.

Latifah said Jackson’s is an “incredibly important story to tell”. “We are thrilled to work with Jamie on the project...

Also looking forward to reteaming with our Clark Sisters producing partner, Holly Carter, to share Mahalia’s inspiring journey to becoming the queen of Gospel music,” the actor said in a statement.

Much like the film The Clark Sisters, Carter said, Mahalia! is another epic story of faith that is driven by powerful and uplifting music.

The team behind Mahalia! has also secured the rights to use Jackson’s entire musical catalogue in the film, including How I Got Over and Amazing Grace.
