Get, set, groove to the Punjabi anthem of the year, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui!
TChandigarh Kare Aashiqui has set the Internet ablaze, and now, the makers have decided to further pique the excitement of the audience by starting the film’s music release with the title track.
The song presents to us the world of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui by bringing together the entire ensemble cast to shake a leg to the catchy tunes. While actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor’s chemistry in the film has been making a lot of noise, their camaraderie with the supporting cast also looks exciting in the song.
This upbeat track is a recreated version of an eponymous Punjabi song. It’s composed by Sachin-Jigar and sung by Sachin Sanghvi, Jigar Saraiya, Jassi Sidhu (who helmed the original song) and IP Singh, who has also penned the lyrics. It has been choreographed by Caesar Gonsalves.
For the director, this song was always going to be a part of the film’s soundtrack. He says, “The song, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, is the true essence of our film. I knew there had to be a Punjabi number in the movie and this song instantly hit the right chords. The entire music team has done a great job with creating this new version and we hope audiences continue to shower their love, like always.”
Talking about recreating the song, Sachin-Jigar say, “We were already fans of this song when it released. We are really happy to have worked on the new version of this iconic song and kudos to the creators for giving us this gem.”
Gulshan Kumar, T-Series and Guy In The Sky Pictures presents, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, directed by Abhishek Kapoor, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Pragya Kapoor. The film releases on December 10, 2021.
