Leander Paes and Kim Sharma headed for a court marriage?
With a number of Bollywood weddings taking place this year, it seems actor Kim Sharma and tennis player Leander Paes too might take the plunge. After dating for 14 months, the couple could be heading for the altar, suggests report. The two have been making headlines for a long time now, with fans speculating about their marriage every now and then.
If reports are to be believed, they have had a serious discussion about tying the knot soon. Both Paes’ and Sharma’s parents visited Mumbai recently; and as the couple has the blessings of their elders, they talked about wedding plans, albeit a court marriage at the latter’s residence, reports Pinkvilla.
Apparently this is not the first time that the couple’s parents met. Last year in December, Paes and Sharma flew to Kolkata and met his parents, and were joined by her parents later. They wanted their families to celebrate the New Year together, which is a huge hint about how serious they are about each other.
Paes and Sharma have been in other serious relationships in the past. The tennis player dated actor Mahima Chaudhry, and later was in a live-in relationship with actor Sanjay Dutt’s ex-wife, model Rhea Pillai for eight years. Sharma married businessman Ali Punjani in 2010 and got a divorce six years later in 2016.
Sharma often shares pictures of herself with Paes on social media. The couple who began dating in March 2021 made their relationship Instagram official six months later, in September, when they posted a picture of them together on his account. The couple regularly share snippets of their dates and outings together, including Christmas and family dinners. When the duo celebrated one year together, Sharma penned a note for Paes along with many photos. She captioned them, “Happy anniversary Charles (heart emoji) 365 days! Endless moments of happiness and learnings. Thank you for being mine. Love you to bits - Mich.”
