Designers ready to embrace post-lockdown hedonism

At the ongoing Australian fashion week, three queer designers will represent a move towards rave wear and ‘main character’ energy. One of them is Jordan Gogos, 27, who is showcasing on May 12 his collection that features boxes of offcut denim, hat sculptures in the shape of birds (made from retrieved ocean fishnets). “The culture of fashion today is about undoing and redoing of things. What we’re doing at Iordanes Spyridon Gogos (his brand) is looking at what’s been done before and making it more meaningful,” he said.
