Has the Capital crossed its Covid-19 peak?

Public health experts say Delhi might have moved past its peak for the current wave of Covid-19, reasons being heightened immunity and vaccination, leading to lesser hospitalisation. “We’re working with the presumption that the peak has already passed. We expect it to taper in the next 15 days,” said a health department official, according to The Hindu. In Mumbai, too, the number of cases is reportedly 50% lower than previous week’s figures.
