Paris shares rare insight about dad, late Michael Jackson
Musician and model Paris Jackson has recently opened about her late father, singer Michael Jackson, sharing rare insight about the King of Pop as a dad.
In an interview with PopSugar, Paris spoke about some of the lessons her father instilled in her before he died in 2009, reports nypost.com. “I was raised by a free-love, hippie-type dude, so we were taught that beauty comes from the inside. And to this day, I still believe that,” Paris said.
It is this thought that drove her to express herself with piercing and tattoos. The belief that “beauty comes from the inside” is why she is always up for experimenting* with her appearance. “All of the experiences that I’ve had in the last few years have got me to that point,” the 24year-old said.
Paris also revealed that growing up in the public eye and belonging to a famous family in the entertainment world led her to have a complicated relationship with beauty. “Recently, I’ve learned how to cope with it all by practising self-love and affirmations and diving deeper into my spiritual life,” she shared, adding, “It wasn’t until the last couple of years that I’ve started feeling good about myself and my body.”
Paris has two siblings, Prince Jackson, 25, and Prince Michael “Bigi” Jackson II, 20.
