WhatsApp status to get ‘rich link preview’ feature

WhatsApp will soon get a new feature for its status updates, according to WABetaInfo. The instant messaging platform’s users will now be able to add URLs with a rich link preview, while updating their statuses. At present, statuses carry a basic link text. But, with the rollout of this new feature, the status update will highlight the URL with an image and a short description of the link.
