KARTIK’S STREAK OF PARTY CHARTBUSTERS CONTINUES WITH CHARACTER DHEELA 2.0

-

The year 2022 proved to be an unconventional superhit year for Kartik Aaryan, and 2023 has begun with a bang for the young superstar! His track Character Dheela 2.0 from the mass entertainer Shehzada has already been declared the party anthem of the year.

This isn’t the first time that Kartik has dropped a song that found a place in party playlists almost instantly. When he drops a track, his fans always wait for that one quirky hook step that they can immediately recreate.

For his latest, he has teamed up again with choreographer duo Bosco Caesar. And this time, Kartik has not one, but three hooksteps for the audiences to recreate — The Shady Step, The T-shirt Step and The Slider Step.

Be it Bom Diggy (Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety; 2018), Coca Cola (Luka Chuppi; 2019), Dheeme Dheeme (Pati Patni Aur Woh; both 2019), the title track of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kaala Jaadu (Freddy; 2022) or Character Dheela 2.0, Kartik has set a benchmark for party numbers and fun, unique hook steps, cementing his position as one of Bollywood’s best dancers.

In Character Dheela 2.0, the actor has created some neverseen-before visuals. While other actors would have opted for alcohol bottles as props to increase the cool quotient of a party number, Kartik, with his swag, is seen partying with milk bottles — which left internet users in awe and admiration. Only this young superstar could pull this off!

The song amassed a recordbreaking 50 million views in just 24 hours, becoming the most-watched video worldwide in one day across platforms. The young actor also went pub-hopping across Mumbai to promote the song, sending the crowds there into a frenzy.

On the success of the song, Kartik says, “I am so glad that people are loving Character Dheela 2.0 and enjoying it so much. It was really overwhelming to see how the song picked up in no time; some people were already teaching dance choreographies on it by the evening of the day it dropped! I am really excited to see the audiences have fun with it, especially with the hook steps. I hope they enjoy it as much as I did shooting it.”
